Electro-mechanical Technology Programs

In the manufacturing environment of today there is a need for technicians who are able to work with electrical and electronic controls, utilize computers and computer-based controls, as well as understand how these controls integrate with hydraulics, pneumatics and other mechanical drive elements to form automated systems. An Electro-mechanical Technician must have knowledge of automated systems, computers, robots, computer-controlled machine tools, programmable logical controllers, fluid power systems, motors and motor controls and mechanical drives and mechanisms. The Electro-mechanical Technology program provides the training, both theory and hands-on, necessary to enter this occupation. With this training a graduate will be able to seek employment in a wide variety of well-paying industrial settings, where challenges and new learning experiences occur everyday.
